How are they so fast?Can they see better than humans? Are they nocturnal?
They fly up in circles and glide down.
Yes they can see much better than humans.
No they are not nocturnal, they hunt in the day.
Introduction - where in the world is it found, what classification does it belong to and how do you know?
New Zealand, Australia, and the pacific islands. 

It's a classified as a bird.

Sharp hooked beak, they are 60 centimetres, they have little fierce eyes, they have big sharp talons on their feet. 
Habitatwhere does it live and why does it live there?
they live in the semi open desert, they go to places
With lots of water. If you go to a big farm yard you Will see lots.
Dietwhat does it eat (Prey) and how / where does it get its food?
Rabbits, rats, mice, worms, centipedes,
Open spaces and it spys from look outs.
Predators - what eats it, how does it protect itself/escape from its enemies?
Red foxes, lagger hawks, large eagles.
Hawks are at the top of the food chain.
Special features - what is special to that animal?
They see better than humans because they have to catch prey. 
* Life Cycle- what stages does it go through in its life cycle? Labelled diagram???
It starts as a egg, then a chick, then it learns to fly, and then it can catch prey by itself.

  1. Benji, I your information is really interesting and clear. The liked the picture showing how a hawk catches its prey. What does the harrier hawk use for its lookouts and why is there so many on farms?
